Privacy policy and cookies
Our privacy policy in short: we only collect the details you send us to get a call back (name, phone, optional email, city, service and message) and use them solely to handle your request. Google Analytics statistics run only if you accept cookies, and your data is never sold.
Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is SecureDoors Israel, a locksmith and interior doors business based in Jerusalem, Israel.
- Phone and WhatsApp: 055-508-8444 (from abroad: +972 55-508-8444)
- Email: securedoorsisrael@gmail.com
More details about the publisher are in the legal notice.
What data do we collect, and why?
We collect data in only three situations, and only what we need:
| Situation | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Sending the contact form | Name, phone, email (optional), city, requested service, message, plus the page it was sent from and the site language | To call you back and handle your request |
| Calling, messaging on WhatsApp or emailing us | Whatever you choose to share (name, address, description of the problem, a photo of the door or lock…) | To handle the request and arrange the job |
| Browsing, only if you accept cookies | Usage statistics: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate region, clicks on call, WhatsApp and email buttons, form submissions and the type of service requested | To see which pages help people and improve the site |
Our hosting provider, Vercel, also processes technical data (IP address, browser type, time of access) needed to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
We never ask for sensitive data on the site, such as an Israeli ID (teudat zehut) number or payment card details.
Do you have to give us this information?
No. There is no legal obligation to provide it: you share it voluntarily and confirm this by ticking the consent box on the form. Without a name and phone number, however, we simply cannot call you back. Email is optional.
How does the contact form send your details?
The form is sent through the Web3Forms form service, which forwards your request to the business inbox (securedoorsisrael@gmail.com, run on Google’s Gmail service). The information is used only to answer your request. The form also contains a hidden anti-spam field that collects nothing about you.
How does the site use cookies and Google Analytics?
- Before you choose, nothing loads. Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set until you click “Accept” in the cookie banner.
- If you accept, Google Analytics 4 loads and sets the
_gaand_ga_<ID>cookies to count visits. According to Google, they can last up to two years. When a form is sent, only the type of service you chose is passed on; we never send Google your name, phone number, email or message. - If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all, and the site works normally.
- Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) and is not sent to us.
Changing your mind: click the “Cookies” button at the bottom of any page to choose again. If you withdraw consent you gave earlier, you can also delete existing cookies in your browser settings.
Is your data shared with anyone?
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Your information only goes through the providers needed to run the site and the service, each for its own role:
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Web3Forms: delivering the form to our inbox.
- Google: email (Gmail) and, only if you accept, Google Analytics.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, under that service’s terms.
These providers may process data on servers outside Israel and outside the European Union, including in the United States. Beyond that, your data is only disclosed to a third party where the law requires it.
How long do we keep your data?
Request details are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up (arranging the job, questions afterwards), then deleted, unless the law requires certain information to be kept longer. Google Analytics statistics are kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.
How is your data protected?
The whole site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to incoming requests is limited to the business. We do not copy your requests into tools other than those needed to answer them.
What are your rights under Israeli law?
Israel’s Privacy Protection Law 5741-1981, as amended, including by Amendment 13, gives you in particular the following rights:
- Right of access: to see the information we hold about you.
- Right to correction or deletion: to have information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date corrected or deleted.
- Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time via the “Cookies” button.
- Complaint: you can contact the Privacy Protection Authority at Israel’s Ministry of Justice if you believe your data was not handled properly.
We do not use the contact details you send us for advertising.
Living in the EU? Your rights under the GDPR
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, we process your data to take steps at your request before providing a service (Article 6(1)(b)), on the basis of your consent for Google Analytics (Article 6(1)(a)), and on our legitimate interest for the site’s security logs (Article 6(1)(f)).
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
How can I exercise my rights?
Email securedoorsisrael@gmail.com or call 055-508-8444 with your name, the phone number you contacted us from and what you are asking for. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm your identity before sharing or deleting any information. We reply within the time limits set by the applicable law. You can also reach us through the contact page.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy if the way the site works or the law changes. The last update date appears at the bottom of the page. The site’s accessibility measures are described in our accessibility statement.
